Ground Mounted Systems

Where a roof mounted array is not viable, a ground mounted tracking system is an excellent alternative. The tracker will produce 25 – 40% more electricity than a fixed roof mount, by moving the array as necessary to maintain the optimum orientation to the sun or available light. Please note that the microFIT rate for a ground mount is lower than the roof mount rate.

Deger Energie produces an intelligent tracking system which looks at the light available to determine the best orientation for maximum energy harvest. On a cloudy day, this is often in “table top” position, flat to the sky. On a sunny winter day, it may be much more vertical to take advantage of the reflected light from the snow as well as the sun directly.
