We embrace green practices and technologies, and help others do the same.

Prior to forming Solar Team, Ken worked in the arts for over 20 years. During this time, he experienced life on the other side of the curtain as a stage manager, working on large musical productions like Forever Plaid and Phantom of the Opera. He also had the pleasure of serving Canadian artists for many years as the Senior Business Representative of Canadian Actors’ Equity Association.

In addition to the arts, Ken has always been passionate about renewable energy and green living. He applied this passion to the construction of his home in Brant County, embracing green practices and technologies, such as gray water recycling, tertiary septic, passive solar, solar thermal, and of course, solar photo-voltaic. Although he wasn’t a pioneer in these technologies, it was certainly still a frontier effort to apply them at the time, with many trades learning from this experience.

The Green Energy Act of 2009 was the catalyst for Ken to apply himself full time to the development of renewable energy in Ontario. Ken attended workshops with the Canadian Solar Industries Association and Home Energy Solutions (Sharp Solar Panel distributor for Canada). In consultation with Enterprise Brant, Ken transformed a good idea into a strong business plan. Solar Team is the realization of a life long passion for renewable energy and a firm commitment to helping others.
