Safety

Safety is priority #1 at all times. Each person on site is individually and collectively responsible for maintaining a safe working environment. Each person on site is individually and collectively responsible for the use of appropriate safety equipment, following safety protocols, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.

Customer Service

Within a safe environment, customer service is a priority for all employees and contractors at all levels. Questions and comments from the customer are always welcome. Customers and other individuals are treated with professionalism and courtesy.

Beyond the usual standards of safety and cleanliness, we ensure that any special worksite requirements of the customer are identified and respected. After each site visit and completion of each phase of work, we follow up with the customer to ensure their satisfaction with the installation and our conduct.

Environmental Responsibility

Solar Team recognizes that a healthy environment is a necessary condition to a human future and in the absence of a healthy environment, any economy is a false economy. Solar Team recognizes that human impact on the environment, by virtue of a significantly larger population and efficiencies of modern technology, is greater today than at any point in history. We also recognize that the human ability to mitigate its impact on the environment is significantly better today than at any point in history.

Solar Team will demonstrate accountability and leadership in environmental responsibility. We believe that we must do more than just offset our impact today; we must reverse carbon impact legacy that we have inherited.

Through our employees, we endeavor to reduce, reuse, and recycle as much as possible to minimize our carbon footprint. Solar Team purchases carbon credits to offset the remainder from certified, reputable Canadian vendors.

In addition, Solar Team is committed to donating 1% of its annual sales to an environmental non-profit organization which is actively engaged in the areas of alternative energy, alternative transportation, biodiversity, climate change, environmental education, environmental justice, social activism, and/or sustainable practices. This is done under the auspices of the “1% for the planet” alliance of businesses financially committed to creating a healthy planet.

Social Responsibility

Solar Team believes that everyone should have the opportunity to benefit from the Ontario microFIT program. The fact that over one million Canadians must choose between electricity and rent each month is unacceptable.

Solar Team is committed to working with Habitat for Humanity in Ontario to install microFIT solar arrays on Habitat builds. Solar Team will prospect investors who are willing to finance such installations at competitive rates.

Solar Team provides comprehensive solutions for Ontario homeowners who want to benefit from the microFIT program. We work with the homeowner from initial site assessment and design, to supplying proven, reliable products, professional installation, and ultimately, dependable performance support for the life of the system.

In this way, we aim to make it possible for the individual Ontario homeowner and small business owner to generate solar power and therefore to receive the above average returns on their investment available through the Ontario microFIT program.
